All based on an active tectonic region or feature, like a volcano, fault line, trench, etc.
Plate Tectonics Major Project Due March 24th Outline: Each student will select a unique, active plate tectonic region to research and present before the class.
Each region needs to be approved by the teacher & each project will consist of the following parts: Research Content (40 pts): Once each student has chosen a location, they must research their location for geographic, demographic, pronunciations, and scientific information.
Major Event Paper (20 pts): They must also find a major event in history related to their event and outline that event in a 1-page paper, written in their own words.
Include date & time, what happened, results of the event (damage, global effects, etc.), & answer the questions, “Why did it happen?” and ...
