TEXTBOOK SELECTION AND ADOPTIONThe Board of Education is responsible for the selection and designation of all textbooks to be used in the district schools.
Texts, once approved by the Board, shall not be replaced for a period of five years except by a three-fourth’s vote of the Board.
The following criteria are to be considered in the selection of textbooks:

contribution the subject matter makes to the curriculum, the interests of the students, and the breadth of representative viewpoints
