AIDS INSTRUCTION In compliance with the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, the Wayne Central School District will provide classroom instruction concerning Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) as part of a sequential and comprehensive health program for all students, K-12.
Such instruction will be age-appropriate, and include the following information:
1.
the nature of the disease;
2.
methods of transmission of the disease; and
3.
methods of prevention of the disease stressing:
a.
abstinence as the most effective and appropriate protection against AIDS as a sexually transmitted disease; and
