Serve Player must keep 1 foot behind the end line when serving.
Only 1 serve attempt is allowed, except when the ball hits the net and still goes in the proper service court (let).
In this case the serve is retaken.
That is, the receiving team must let the serve bounce, and the serving team must let the return of the serve bounce before playing it.
This does not hold true in doubles.
In doubles, there is no exchange of sides by partners until a point is scored. Again the most effective position is when both players on the same team are side by side in the attack position just behind the no-volley zone line.
