As per the SC Meeting there are two issues -
1. Should EduTech accept request for services from districts outside our 2 BOCES (other than the normal minor cross contact). Our recommendation would be "no". Our resources are already tight servicing the 47 districts, The income received would not offset the manpower and management capacity utilized.
2. What are the implications of one of the 47 districts going to one of the other RICs for services ??? If an EduTech district procures hardware/services from other BOCES they should be careful to compare ongoing support charges as well as onetime install charges and they should clearly receive all support from the other RIC. EduTech will not provide support for equipment procured through other RICs, this is especially important if the items fall outside of our standards.
