CLERK’S REPORT:
 1.1M Approval of Minutes of April 13, 1999 .
Motion made by Mr. Karlsen, seconded by Mr. Riley, and carried unanimously.
 1.2M Questions & Approval of Warrants
Motion made by Mr. Riley, seconded by Mr. Karlsen, and carried unanimously.
 1.3M Approval of Payroll for March

SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT:
 2.1 RS Resolved that the Board of Education of the Romulus Central School District, at its April 28, 1999 meeting has voted for Clay Bishop to fill a vacant seat as a member of the Wayne Finger Lakes Board of Cooperative Educational Services, commencing on July 1, 1999.
Motion made by Mr. Riley, seconded by Mr. Karlsen, and carried unanimously.
 
 2.2 RS Resolved that the Board of Education of the Romulus Central School District, at its April 28, 1999 meeting has voted for Bonnie Brown to fill a vacant seat as a member of the Wayne Finger Lakes Board of Cooperative Educational Services, commencing on July 1, 1999.
Motion made by Mrs. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Karlsen, and carried unanimously.
 
 2.3 RS Resolved that the Board of Education of the Romulus Central School District, at its April 28, 1999 meeting has voted for Lynn Gay to fill a vacant seat as a member of the Wayne Finger Lakes Board of Cooperative Educational Services, commencing on July 1, 1999.
Motion made by Mr. Karlsen, seconded by Mrs. Assermily, and carried unanimously.
 



BUSINESS MANAGER’S REPORT:
 3.1 RS Resolved that the Board of Education of the Romulus Central School District, at its April 28, 1999 meeting has voted for approval of the 1999-2000 tentative administrative budget of the Wayne - Finger Lakes Board of Cooperative Educational Services in the amount of $2,249,567.
Motion Made by Mr. Riley, seconded by Mr. Karlsen, and approved unanimously.
 
 3.2 RS The following proposition shall be submitted for voter approval at the Annual Meeting on May 18, 1999:
   Resolved that the Board of Education of the Romulus Central School District, Seneca County, is hearby authorized to expend a total of $6,104,058 for the operation of the school of said District for the school year 1999-2000, and that said sum be raised by tax upon taxable property of said School District after first deducting the estimated money available from State Aid and other sources.
Motion made by Mr. Karlsen, seconded by Mr. Hollenbeck, and approved unanimously.
 



DIRECTOR OF ELEMENTARY EDUCATION REPORT:
 4.1 Update. Mrs. Quinn reported that Babette Bennett had her baby. Faculty and Staff Appreciation breakfast is on Wed. 5/5 6:30 - 9:30 a.m. in Home and Careers Room. Harried time in Elementary 4th & 6th Writing exams, 11th & 15th Social Studies, and 12th & 14th Science.
 



DIRECTOR OF SECONDARY EDUCATION REPORT:
 4.2 Mr. Midey discussed Blood Drive on 4/29, Prom is 5/1 at Geneva Country Club, 4th and 6th is Disney Spectacular in Auditorium, 5/12 Peer Mentoring Program to begin under Nicole McInnes and Graduation Participation Policy has been discussed.
 



ATHLETIC DIRECTOR’S REPORT:
 13.1 Update. Mr. Midey reported that 5/2 Romulus Community Sports Meeting 7:00 p.m.in Board Room. 5/20 are Senior Recognition Games against South Seneca. 6/11 is All Sports Banquet 6:00 p.m.
 



PERSONNEL APPOINTMENTS:
 6.1R  Cindy Meckley, Long Term Substitute as School Nurse, at a rate of $75 per day for the remainder of the school year or until the return from Family Medical Leave of Babette Bennett.
Motion made by Mr. Karlsen, seconded by Mr. Riley, and approved unanimously.
 
 6.2M Lori Marie Thillman, Substitute Teacher.
Motion made by Mr. Riley, seconded by Mrs. Johnson, and approved unamiously.
 
 6.3M Donna Newcomb, 5188 East Lake Rd., Romulus, as long term substitute Administrative Assistant in District Office @$7.50 per hour for three hours per day, effective May 3, 1999 through June 30, 1999, or until the return of Leanne Keel from sick leave.
Motion made by Mr. Riley, seconded by Mrs. Johnson, and approved unamiously.
 
CSE Recommendations  
9.1M Approval was granted of CSE recommendations listed in the Minutes of April 8 & 9, 1999.
Motion made by Mrs. Johnson, seconded by Mrs. Asermily and approved unanimously.
 
 
Motion to adjourn at 8:00 p.m. made by Mrs. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Riley , and carried unanimously.
