    BOARD OF EDUCATION REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
    August 23, 2007

    PRESENT
    Robert Cahoon, Kathy DeAngelis, Mindy DeBadts, Nickoline Henner,
    Edward Magin, Clifford Parton, Ora Rothfuss
    Lucinda Miner, Jan McDorman
    ABSENT/EXCUSED
    1. CALL TO ORDER
    Ed Magin called the meeting to order at 6:55 pm.
    1a. APPROVAL OF
    Robert Cahoon moved and Cliff Parton seconded the following motion.
    AGENDA
    The vote was unanimous. R. Cahoon, K. DeAngelis, M. DeBadts, N.
    Henner, E. Magin, C. Parton, and O. Rothfuss voted yes.
    EXECUTIVE SESSION
    Cliff Parton moved and Robert Cahoon seconded the following motion.
    The vote was unanimous. R. Cahoon, K. DeAngelis, M. DeBadts, N.
    Henner, E. Magin, C. Parton, and O. Rothfuss voted yes.
    Be it resolved that the Board of Education, upon recommendation of
    the Superintendent of Schools and pursuant to Education Law,
    approves Executive Session at 7:00 pm for the specific purpose of
    interviewing four candidates who have expressed an interest in serving
    in vacant Board of Education seats until the May 2008 election.
    Mr. Magin called for a short break. Jan McDorman left the meeting at
    this time.
    OPEN SESSION
    The meeting returned to open session at 8:20 pm.
    BOARD OF EDUCATION
    A motion was made to appoint Kelly Ferrente and Judi Buckalew to fill
    MEMBER APPOINTMENTS
    vacant Board of Education seats until the election in May 2008. The
    Oath of Office will be given to each individual at the August 28, 2007
    Board of Education meeting.
    Robert Cahoon moved and Cliff Parton seconded the following motion.
    The vote was unanimous. R. Cahoon, K. DeAngelis, M. DeBadts, N.
    Henner, E. Magin, C. Parton, and O. Rothfuss voted yes.
    Be it resolved that the Board of Education, upon recommendation of
    the Superintendent of Schools and pursuant to Education Law,
    appoints Kelly Ferrente as a Board of Education Member to fill a
    vacant seat on the Board until the election in May 2008.

    Be it resolved that the Board of Education, upon recommendation of
    the Superintendent of Schools and pursuant to Education Law,
    appoints Judi Buckalew as a Board of Education Member to fill a vacant
    seat on the Board until the election in May 2008.
    ADJOURNMENT
    Nickoline Henner moved and Robert Cahoon seconded the following
    motion. The vote was unanimous. R. Cahoon, K. DeAngelis, M.
    DeBadts, N. Henner, E. Magin, C. Parton, and O. Rothfuss voted yes.
    Be it resolved that the Board of Education, upon recommendation of
    the Superintendent of Schools and pursuant to Education Law,
    approves the adjournment of the meeting at 8:30 pm.
