 How Can You Use Your Words to Change the Society Immediately Around You?
This unit enables you to conquer the single, most feared task—speaking in public. (Take thirty seconds on the Internet to search opinions on public speaking; that will confirm that this is the single most feared task.) We’ll make that easier, in about 5 weeks.

Jobs:  
 How to Get a Career— the First Step
This unit will help to confirm your career path, and will take about 5 or 6 weeks. In this unit, you will research potential careers, develop interview skills, and present yourself in person and on paper. For part of it, you will write a college application as well as job applications.

Science Fiction:
 Other Worlds, Other Times, Other Ways
This unit will show you other ways of seeing the world, and will last about 7 weeks. Our text and movies will lead you to other cultures in the traditional science fiction genre.
Newspaper :  
 What Is the Truth, the Whole Truth, Nothing But the Truth?
This unit will lead you to more precision in reporting, and will last about 8 weeks. You will form a newspaper staff, solve reporting, writing, and production problems: this is real.

Children’s Lit.:  
 Why Do Children Read?
This unit will help you to deal with children and may help you to see why you work as you do. It will take about 8 weeks. You will work with other students and with youngsters. Everyone loves this unit.
