Comparisons- Cognates between English and the target language, customs and cross- cultural presence prevalent in society, i.e.- restaurants, plays, holidays. 5.) Performance Indicators: Comprehend language consisting of advanced vocabulary and structures in face-to-face conversation with peers and familiar adults.
Understand the main idea and several details of intermediate to advanced informative materials written for native speakers.
Compose detailed, formal notes and messages to exchange information with members of the target language.
Use some keys cultural traits of the societies in which the target language is spoken.
Scope/ Sequence: greetings, numerous noun vocabulary (family, body parts, sports and leisure, clothing, weather, food, house, colors, professions, travel, places/ town, countries, car vocabulary), numerous regular and irregular verbs – conjugation and definitions, tenses, negation terms. Strengthening and enhancement of sentence structure.
