Students teach us to do or to know something-- 4 minutes, with both pages of rubric.

With the assistance of Mr. Broch, the librarian, you will continue research on a topic drawn from a list that I will provide.
On Monday, 10/06, you will register for ACE courses in the Public Meeting Room.
The research paper is due in final draft by 10/17/03.

Day 1:
For Daybook, 33-40, complete the work, following directions.
    1. Students define “love,” recalling instances of it in earlier readings and in their own relationships. Students read “She loved him” ( Elements 333), “McKinney” (Elements 326) and “Kidnap Poem” (Elements 297). Students provide a drawing, poem, or story that summarizes any one of these texts.
    Teacher and students review their essays for mini–lessons.
    Days 2 and 3:
    Review first seven Global voc. Take test on day 2.
         
    Students explain their findings about love— content and presentation — in “She loved him” ( Elements 333), “McKinney” (Elements 326) and “Kidnap Poem” (Elements 297).
    Students write for posting a parallel of “Kidnap Poem” (Elements 297).

    ELA Lab.09 (meeting day B)
    Examine our class work more closely, especially vocabulary in Daybook, “We Bad” and excerpt from Paula. Students may work on other subjects, with teacher leading them into using ELA skills.
