    During the September 11, 2002 meeting, Board of Education members reported on their
    latest activities. Mr. Herbert commented on claims for payment, the Town Board
    meeting and the distribution of perfect attendance awards to staff members. He also
    commented on his attendance at the Williamson Faculty Association picnic and thanked
    Mrs. Craft for her generous donation of burgers. Mrs. Verbridge reported that she
    attended a Bicentennial meeting and that the committee is looking for ideas for a legacy
    project. Mr. Vitalone spoke about his attendance at the WFA picnic and the Apple
    Blossom Committee meeting. He stated that the September 11

    assembly at the Middle
    School was wonderful. Mr. Jordan shared information that the Board had received from
    New York State School Boards Association. Mrs. Ehresman commented on the results of
    the New York State Math Assessments that will be available to the public on September
    13, 2002.
     
    Under the consent agenda, the following appointments were approved: Patrick Verbridge
    as substitute teacher, Theresa Gnage as JV Volleyball Coach, Kathy Seyna as a
    CSE/CPSE Parent Representative and Dawn DeFisher as a Student Aide. The
    resignation of Regina Perce, Elementary School Aide was accepted.
     
    Old business included the approval of the second readings of Board policies regarding
    Distribution of Potassium Iodide (KI) Pills, Principals of Purchasing and Impartial
    Hearing Officers and the Board’s membership in the New York State School Boards
    Association.
     
    Under new business, the Board reviewed the census report and opening enrollment
    numbers. A resolution to approve a settlement agreement with Michael G. Stitt was
    approved, as was a perfect attendance award for Jean Davis for the 2001­2002 school
    year. A motion for the appointment of Special Education Coordinators was tabled
    pending the Board’s receipt of additional information. The Board discussed their goals
    and committee participation for the 2002­2003 school
    year and will continue the
    discussion at a later meeting.
