Goal: By June 2003, the District will develop clearly defined expectations for student performance in writing at all grade levels.
 
Objectives:

Ø Teachers will develop a common understanding and language of the essential traits of writing.
Ø Teachers will engage in professional development in the 6-Trait Writing Assessment and Instruction model.
Ø Teachers will develop a K-12 Curriculum Guide for writing.
