SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT:
 2.1RQ Approval of Non-Public School Transportation for the 1998-99 school year for JAMES BURLEW to attend Interlaken Christian School.

BUSINESS MANAGER’S REPORT:
 3.1M Authorization for Christopher B. Manaseri, Superintendent, to sign the Cooperative Counseling Agreement between the Community Counseling Center of Seneca County and the Romulus Central School District, effective July 1, 1998 through June 30, 1999, at an annual cost to the District of $4,580, including $1,700 for the services of a Substance Abuse Counselor or Family Therapist provided to the District for three hours one day per week.

 3.2RS RESOLVED that the Romulus Central School District and the County of Seneca, New York, for the 1998-99 school year, will perform the following for the collection of taxes:

  • The County will send to the Romulus Central School District, after final rolls have been filed (July 1, 1998), a final printout by Town and School District, showing the assessed value and taxable value in each Township within the School District.
  • The School will check the final totals and use these figures to equate its tax rate.
  • Romulus Central School District will forward to the Real Property Tax Services
  • Office all tax rates and estimated State Aid by August 7, 1998, in time so that we may insure the deliverance of the tax bills prior to September 1st.
  • The County will be responsible for providing the tax bills, extending the rolls and
  • preparing the tax bills at a cost of forty cents ($.40) per bill.
    • The cost of the postage and any extra required supplies will be borne by the Romulus Central School District.
  • The School is to provide the Real Property Tax Services Office with the names and
  • addresses of the collector, and also the penalty information.
    • The Romulus Central School District is responsible for listing the dates and places of
    collection.
    • The County of Seneca shall not be responsible for any errors or omissions on the
    tax bills prepared by said County for the School.
             
    • Payment is due upon billing by the County.

    3.5RS WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the Romulus Central School District has been authorized by the voters at the Annual School District meeting to raise, for the current budget of the 1998-99 school year, a sum not to exceed $5,595,322;
    THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Board adopt the School Tax Levy for 1998-99 at $2,121,033.00, and Tax Rates for 1998-99 as follows:

  • AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Board fix the equalization tax rates by Towns, and confirm the extension of the taxes as they appear on the following described tax rolls:

     AND, BE IT HEREBY DIRECTED THAT the tax warrant of this Board, duly signed, shall be affixed to the above-described tax rolls authorizing the collection of said taxes to begin September 1, 1998 and end November 7, 1998, giving the tax warrant an effective period of 68 days at the expiration of which time the Tax Collector shall make an accounting, in writing, to the Board;
       AND, IT IS FURTHER DIRECTED THAT the delinquent tax penalties shall be fixed as follows:  
         September 1 - October 2 --- Without Penalty
         October 3 - October 31 --- 2% Penalty
         November 1 - November 7 --- 3% Penalty
         November 9 and onward --- Pay County Treasurer
     
    and that the approval of the Board shall be Treasurer endorsed on the face of Fidelity Bond furnished for the Tax Collector, and that said Bond shall be filed as required by law.
