Greetings from Wayne Central School District. Below are some items of interest.
 
 
Reorganizational Meeting:
 

1. Election – Note that you will be electing a president and vice president. Acceptance speeches are expected.

 

2. Appointments - Most everything is the same as last year. All changes have been highlighted in red.

 

3. Board Representatives - The Board will need to select representatives for Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES and Four County Committees. Atthached is a brief overview of the work involved in the different Four County committees.

 

4. Regular Business Items - During the regular Board meeting we will be reviewing the various projects we are working on this summer. We also need to discuss the building project. Mr. Atseff and Mr. VanderByl are meeting next week on the SEQR. We may have a negative declaration ready for you at the Board meeting. If not, then you can expect that Wayne will have it by the second meeting in July. There will be a presentation on a request for a grade 3 social studies textbook also. Information on a proposed trip to Spain by high school foreign language students will be presented.

 

5. Board Action Items – There will be personnel action for approval. Bob will be preparing it next week with Abby and will send it to you separately. The Consensus Agenda will include bid awards. I support all of these items for approval.

 

6. Policy - Policy will be presented for second reading and approval.

1. Teachers on Special Assignment - At the last Board meeting a board member asked if teachers on special assignment were appointed last year. It appears that one person, Ron Jones, was not reappointed to the position of Dean of students, as he should have been. That is being corrected for this year.

 

2. July 4th Week - As you may recall, Michael and I will be in Florida next week. Have a great weekend and I will see you on the 9th.
