1. | Facilities Propositions – Enclosed are draft facilities propositions for discussion. Each will contain different groupings of facilities projects for us to think about. |
2. | Pool Vote – We will need to discuss when and how we want to proceed with the pool vote. Board minutes show that we are going to vote on the pool in May. That does not appear a possibility. I recommend you consider having the public vote on the pool at the same time they vote on the rest of the project. |
3. | 2002 – 2003 Proposed School Calendar – Please review the proposed school calendar for next school year. The calendar has been reviewed by the WTA, the CSEA and the administrative council. The Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES calendar is attached to this newsletter for reference. As you will note, there are no differences in instructional days for students. There are however, differences in staff days. The BOCES calendar does not identify parent-teacher conference days or all days that might be used for staff development. Each component district bargains for the number of staff work days. |
4. | SEQRA Resolutions - Attached are the resolutions for the SEQRA process. I recommend these be adopted by the Board so that we can complete the SED requirements for the future capital project. |
5. | BOCES Board Election – You will need to cast your votes for the BOCES Board members. There are three seats open and three candidates running: |
· Lynn Gay, Dundee Central School District (received 2/15/02)
· Clay Bishop, North Rose-Wolcott Central School District (received 3/5/02)
· Nancy Scher, Penn Yan Central School District (received 3/7/02) |
1. | Break Week – I will be taking the week off to do some college hunting. There will not be a posting to docushare or mailing next week. Instead, they will be made this week for the April 24 board agenda. There will not be an April 19 Letter to the Board. |
