“I shall pass this world but once, any good, therefore, that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again. -- Stephan Grellet

Greetings from Wayne Central School District.

Letter to the Board

1. BOCES CSO Meeting – I attended the BOCES CSO meeting this Friday anticipating much discussion would occur on the defeat of the Sodus capital project, which was to house the BOCES students at the end of our lease. There was much interest in extending the lease with us. I explained we could not extend it in its present form but the Board had authorized me to explore options with Dr. Marinelli. Some of these options might allow students to remain in the district. The Marion School District also expressed an interest in the BOCES project.

2. January 19 Rochester Knighthawks Game - Tim Ratcliffe has offered a suite for the Board and District Administration to get together and see a lacrosse game at the Blue Cross Arena. I would need to know how many people are interested in attending. There will be a cost involved.

3. Walworth Subdivision – enclosed is the subdivision map Jackie spoke about at the Wednesday Board meeting.

4. Construction Project – As you think of questions and concerns about the building project please e-mail or phone them to Lori Smith. We will compile those questions and send them on to the Architects so they will have answers for the January 16 meeting.

5. Swimming Pool - Some Board members have asked which area schools currently have swimming pools. The enclosed memo from Mr. Blankenberg shows that information. The number after the school refers to the grade 9-11 student population. Wayne is included for illustrative purposes only. It is not meant as a prediction of the future.
