EducAide Software, maker of Acces, "The Teacher's Database", is pleased to provide you with this free mathematics font and clipart set. It contains more than 140 diagrams, which are appropriate for a range of subjects and grades, plus a font that was specially-designed for discrete math.

EAS Discrete Math Font

The EAS Discrete Math font on this disk was created by EducAide Software to facilitate the writing of probability and statistics problems, among other things. To install the font, follow these directions:

Windows 3.1
Open the Control Panel and double-click the Fonts icon. Press the Add button, then open the winfont folder on this disk and select EASMATH1. Be sure to check the box "Copy fonts to Windows directory."

Windows 95/98
Open the winfont folder on this floppy disk, then drag the EASMATH1.TTF icon to the windows -> fonts folder on your hard drive.

Macintosh
Open the macfont folder on this floppy disk, then drag the EAS Discrete Math suitcase to the system -> fonts folder on your hard drive.

Note: EAS Discrete Math is a TrueType(tm) symbol font, which means it contains simple pictures instead of letters. While you use just it like any other font, the letters on your keyboard map to pictures of dice, cards, coins, etc. You can preview the pictures or get a printout using Keycaps (a Macintosh program) or Character Map (Windows 3.1 and 95), or by double clicking on the font icon (Windows 95 and Macintosh).

Clipart

The 140+ diagrams on this disk were created by EducAide Software to illustrate a variety of math problems. They are located in the clipart folder and organized into the following categories:

Note: The diagrams are separate graphics files in TIFF format (300 dpi), which means they can be imported by nearly all word processors and desktop publishing programs. Also, the diagrams can be viewed and edited in most paint and draw programs, such as Adobe Photoshop(tm) and Corel Draw(tm). If you do not have one, you can download various freeware and shareware programs through the internet.
