Dear Parent/Guardian:
We are now less than a month away from the New York State Mathematics Exam, which will be held on May 6th and 7th. Starting next week we will be reviewing for the exam. This is a crucial time and it is extremely important that your child keep up with classwork and homework assignments. Please continue to emphasize the importance of schoolwork at home. The school has recently been able to create folders on the internet for teachers to place daily assignments. If you have access to the web you can check your child’s assignments on a nightly basis. In my folder I have placed a calendar with all of the assigned classwork and daily homework assignments. There will also be copies of any practice tests or worksheets also available. If you have access to the web you can complete the following steps to view your child’s math assignments:
1. Go to
www.keshequa.org
2. Click on MS Staff Collections
3. Click on Macomber, Mr.
4. Click on Math Calendar
If you click on any of the dates you will see what will be covered in class and
their homework assignment for that day. All assignments are now listed up
until May 6th.
If you do not have access to the web, I plan to start listing the homework assignments on my voicemail at school. The number is: 468-2541 Ext. 2078. Also, I am planning on holding review sessions prior to the exam. Although these sessions are not mandatory, they are highly recommended for all students. The review sessions will be as follows: April 8th, April 10th, April 28th and April 29th during ninth period.
Please have your child return the bottom part of this letter as soon as possible so I know you have received this letter.
If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail:
rmacomber@keshequa.org
or by phone. Thank you for your support and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Mr. Macomber
