Wednesday evening’s regular Board of Education Meeting began with a Public Hearing on the SAVE
Legislation. New regulations require each school district in New York State to develop a Comprehensive
School Safety Plan and the Board to approve this plan by July 1, 2001. A Committee of 19 people
including teachers, support staff, administrators, students, parents and Board Members have been working
on the components of this plan and presented the first draft to the public. The plan is due to be approved
    at the June 27
    th
