Frequently called Numbers
In an effort to improve the ability to reach the school during hours outside of the school day, we installed a voicemail system this year. The automated attendant function is kept off from 7 am to 4 pm when our switchboard is covered by a friendly voice who will always identify themselves when answering. For other hours, the computer will direct your call to an extension where you may reach your party or leave a message. Frequently used extensions are listed below:

    Transportation    334      Mrs. Quinn    327
    SSAFE    102       Mr. Midey    330
    Attendance    334      Mr. Hubman    321
    Nurse      325      Mr. Manaseri    315
    Elementary Office  317      Middle Level
Secondary Office  320      Homework Hotline  7 or 8

The school maintains three outside lines so that callers from Geneva, Seneca Falls and Ovid numbers may reach us without incurring a long distance charge. The downside to this arrangement is that these numbers do NOT roll over to one another, and sometimes busy signals result. School numbers are: 869-5391, 549-7146, and 585-6751. Please use only these numbers. The separate number which had been installed two years ago for the elementary office no longer works for that office and is not connected to the voicemail system.

The voicemail functions will only work if you are calling from a touch tone phone. If the party you are trying to reach is on the phone already, your call is reverted to the switchboard. Should this happen, kindly hang up and try your call again. All classrooms and offices have voicemail capability so that you can leave messages for your child’s classroom teacher at any time.

E-mail capability has been established as well, and every teacher has an email address which you may use. The number consists of the teacher’s first initial ( capitalized) and the last name ( first letter capitalized) @ wfmail.rcs.k12.ny.us.

We hope that email and voicemail capabilities will allow all parents to contact their children’s teachers easily and improve parental involvement in the school program.
