I. Presentation made on Docushare
We received a reference guide for how to use Docushare.
II. Suggested Desired Outcomes
1. How to facilitate K-12 coordination of Social Studies.
2. Network between districts for communication purposes.
3. Professional Growth.
4. Create a greater continuity within region.
5. Participate with regional scoring of state exams.
6. Share methods/materials to meet Standards.
7. Integrate Library Standards, ELA, CDOS, foundations of study skills,
and technology with Social Studies.
8. Create linkages and validation of BOCES training with the Social Studies
curriculum.
9. Generate discussion about how districts will utilize this group’s efforts.
10. A working group to help Special Needs kids to succeed in this curriculum.

IV. Consortium Share
We received 3rd grade document from Geneva City School District.
More schools are joining the consortium.
V. Updates/Assessment/Questions
We received the Curriculum and Assessment Update as of January, 1998.
The Elementary assessment will be in November of grade 6, and the
Intermediate assessment will be in June of grade 8.

Please add to the minutes of the January 14th meeting:
Manchester-Shortsville is involved in several consortia initiative - ELA, SS,
and MST.
The State Standards have been translated to articulate program outcomes
for each grade level.
