Develop effective channels of communication with parents and the community at large to inform them regularly of school activities, to promote resolution of problems as close to their point of origin as possible, and to encourage ongoing dialogue about and understanding of issues and policies under board consideration.
4. Promote local, state, federal and interagency collaboration to support comprehensive educational opportunities for youth and their families.
5. Seek to influence state and federal educational legislation, regulations and policies defining and communicating their potential local impact to elected representatives.
