Dear Principal:

We are pleased to announce an exciting new program that will honor kids for the positive contributions they have made to our world…and award several scholarships to the most deserving. We call it The Kids' Hall of Fame. And at Pizza Hut we think its time has come.

The Kids' Hall of Fame is a nomination program where teachers, librarians, parents, school principals--even the kids themselves--can nominate youngsters, aged 14 or under, to be honored nationally for their special contribution.

This spring, after the nomination deadline of March 15, five exceptional youngsters, who are making a positive difference in the world today, will be awarded $10,000 post-high school scholarships. The five scholarship winners will be inducted into The Kids' Hall of Fame at a gala dinner in their honor this coming summer in Washington, D.C.

In addition, 70 runners-up will receive U.S. Savings Bonds. A select panel of judges named by Pizza Hut will award the prizes.

We need your help in finding these special children. Perhaps you, your teachers, or even your students, could nominate exceptional youngsters for The Kids' Hall of Fame.

Please read the enclosed nomination form for complete information. We encourage you to duplicate and distribute the nomination forms among your faculty, teachers, parents and students for their participation. We also have enclosed a flyer to be displayed in a prominent location at your school.

Thank you for helping us find these outstanding youngsters who will become the heroes of a succeeding generation and who may one day become our future leaders in government, industry, homemaking, science, education and more. If we can clarify anything further about The Kids' Hall of Fame program, please don't hesitate to call. We look forward to hearing about your school's students.
